Mekia Boyce-Bey is the founder of Heavenly Home Healthcare Services. With a deep passion for serving others, Mekia has dedicated her career to providing patient care. A Heart for Healthcare: Since 2015, Mekia has been a Health Tech at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Hospital, where she provides direct patient care. Her responsibilities include: ✔ Obtaining patient vitals ✔ Assisting with personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, and toileting ✔ Supporting nurses during procedures ✔ Following individualized care plans ✔ Ensuring infection control procedures are met ✔ Completing documentation in a timely manner Her dedication and work ethic were recognized with the Prestigious Gold VA Pin Award in both 2018 and 2022 for demonstrating the true spirit of caring when working with patients, families, and staff. As part of the VA wound-care team, Mekia also plays a crucial role in assessing, dressing, and educating patients on wound care. A Passion for Service: Before joining the VA, Mekia worked at The Arc Baltimore, where she found her passion for serving physically challenged and aging populations. This experience fueled her commitment to providing quality home care services.
